Miriam Stoney (*1994, Scunthorpe, UK) is an artist, writer and translator based in Vienna, Austria. Having studied art history at the University of Oxford and architectural history at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, her writing developed into readings, which became performances, which then prompted installations and ultimately exhibitions. Her first solo exhibition, Indebtedness: Die Haftung der Geschenknehmenden took place at Kunstverein Kevin Space in Vienna in 2021. Since then she has taken part in numerous exhibitions and performance programmes internationally, including: Austrian Cultural Forum, London; Kunstverein München, Munich; Kyiv Biennial 2023, Vienna; Belvedere 21, Vienna; Klosterruine Berlin; Tanzquartier Vienna; house of spouse, Vienna; Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin; Bergen Assembly; mumok, Vienna; Österreichisches Kulturforum, Berlin; Cabaret Voltaire, Zurich; Institute of Contemporary Art, London; and others.
